Affordable Spring Fashions

Today more and more women are looking for affordable trendy spring fashions. As most of us are now paying attention to every cent that we spend we're having to look harder at our fashion budgets. I know that I am. I still buy fashion magazines so that I can keep up with the latest fashions, but I'm only looking at them. I can not afford $ 300 shoes anymore or a $ 450 handbag.

What I'm looking for are fashion trends that I can take to stores like Target, TJ Maxx, Kohl's, Sears and JC Penney. I no longer can afford to shop at Nordstrom, but I do not have to look like it. Some of the spring fashion trends are very easy to find in more affordable stores. One of my very favorite spring fashion trends is safari. What I really enjoy about this look is that khaki shirts go really well with jeans and khaki pants can be dressed up with a nice shirt and jacket and are perfect for work. I saw a Michael Kors safari inspired top and belt that cost $ 170. I was able to find the perfect khaki shirt in Sears, and a canvas and leather safari inspired belt in TJ Maxx. It cost me under $ 45 for both.

Another spring fashion trend is metallic. Here's a great idea for you. Some of your safari fabrics can match beautifully with metallics. Do not forget to check out sites like J. Crew. I found a fantastic metallic shirt there for under $ 80. It's a cotton shirt with metallic threads. It's comfortable and will be long wearing. It's also just a hint of glamor that also works well into my work wardrobe.

When I think spring fashion I usually think pastels. It does not seem that pastels are "in" this spring season. What is in is black and white in geometrics, horizontal and vertical prints as well as polka dots. The best part is that black and white never goes out of style. This is an easy tend to replicate. Every woman has black pants or a black skirt in her wardrobe. It's easy to pair a geometric shirt with either of these for an updated look. Again, this look works for work as well as for your casual wardrobe.

One way that I've saved a lot of money on fashions is buying end of season sales. Not only in my local stores, but from on line high end fashion sites too. Buying classic styles means that I can wear them from season to season, and year to year. Well chosen pieces that you take care of you last for years. That means I have more money to buy a few trendy pieces to help me look updated.

Just the other day I was looking at another fashion magazine that had an article on how to save money on fashion. For some reason they still showed $ 1400 shoes, a $ 1500 dress and a $ 1995 hat. They obviously still have not gotten the message that most American women are not shopping like that anymore. We're much smarter. We're shopping smart for fashions and find out that we do not have to have the latest designer fashions in order to look fashionable.

I believe that our current economy may work out in our favor. We're going to see more and more affordable fashionable clothing choices as designers figure out that we're unable to buy their exorbitantly priced clothing, and less priced design homes who are offering affordable fashionable clothing flourish.

The Color of Sunglasses

Hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, kayaking … all of these are sports that require plenty of time in the sun. When preparing for any sun-drenched sport, you take into consideration your clothing, gear, and provisions. You also need to consider the sunglasses or goggles you are going to wear. What you may not know is that there are certain types of glasses designed for certain sports. They are meant to make visibility better rather than decreasing it.

Generally the lens color determines what the glasses are used for. A gray lens or smoke colored lens offers the wearer true color perception. They give the most accurate view of the world. They are not typically used in sports, but are for normal wear. Yellow or amber colored lens decrease the blue light. They are typically used in hazy lighting conditions. These glasses are best for high altitude sports. By getting rid of the blue light they increase visibility because the blue light can make it difficult to focus properly.

Glasses designed with winter sports in mind often have a pink tint to the lens. This is because the pink color gives the wearer greater contrast in his vision as well as increased depth perception. This is essential for the extreme sports fan who loves to fly down a mountain at unnatural speeds.

You have probably noticed that some glasses have a brown tint while others have a blue or purple tint. The blue and purple colors are strictly used for fashion. They have no benefit in any sport. The brown has the same effect as the gray lens, but it does cut out more of the blue light. Again, this allows the wearer to see a greater contrast.

When you are out choosing your glasses keep this color coding in mind. You might want to talk to a knowledgeable sales associate. He should be able to tell you which glasses will work best with your sport.

Designer Sunglasses – Learn About the Different Brands

There are now many different brands of designer sunglasses which have either discovered in their own right, such as Ray Ban or Oakley, or have been created as an accessory to the fashion house brands, such as Gucci and Versace etc. This article examines the backgrounds to these different designer brands, tracing back to their roots and finding out how they were first created and grown into the well-known high street fashion brands that we all desire to wear. Learn about Oakley, Rayban, Dolce and Gabbana, Diesel, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Prada, Tommy Hilfiger, and Versace.

1. Oakley Sunglasses

Oakley is mostly known for their quality sunglasses and ski goggles, and was founded by Jim Jannard in California, USA in 1975, where he developed motorbike hand grips, and then sold them at motocross events. He called them "The Oakley Grip" , and were very different to any other grips riders had been using. In the 1980's he moved on to goggles and sunglasses, and is now a world leader in innovative design, creating new and exciting products.

UV and impact protection

Plutonite is used for all Oakley lenses. It is made of polycarbonate, making the lenses lightweight, offering superior comfort, clarity and protection against ultraviolet radiation and impact resistance. In fact, this impact resistant material blocks out 100% of all UVA, UVB and UVC radiation. The protection is formulated into the lens material, as opposed to a thin surface film that can become scratched, leaving dilated pupils exposed to ultraviolet leaks. Shielding has nothing to do with the darkness or color of the lens, so even clear non-tinted Oakley lenses will still provide full UV protection.

The wrapped around, raked-back design of Oakley eyewear provides further protection by blocking UV from the periphery. The lens materials and frame geometries of Oakley sunglasses provide unsurpassed protection against high-velocity and high-mass impact.

Iridium lens coatings

This is a uniform filtering layer that optimizes contrast and minimizes glare, created by super-heated metallic oxides being fused to the lens at a molecular level, permanently bonding to the lens. Tuned to transmit from 9 to 92% of available light, the coatings are specifically formulated for optimal balance between reflection, transmission and absorption.

Polarization

Every single pair of Oakley polarized sunglasses achieves 99.9% efficiency in blocking polarized light waves. Harsh glare is caused by light waves bouncing off flat surfaces and water, and can be up to 10 times as bright as ambient light. With Oakley polarized lenses you'll definitely keep the sun from impeding your vision.

Oakley's polarization technology surpasses industry standards for clarity, performance and durability. Common techniques of incorporating polarization films into lenses by lamination (using adhesive to sandwich the film between lens layers) and drop forming (sandwiching then heating and pressing over contoured forms) can cause haziness and optical distortion. Oakley uses an injection-molding process to infuse the lens material around the filter. This liquid fusion creates bonding at a molecular level, allowing the filter to achieve the highest possible level of performance.

Hydrophobic (repels water)

The hydrophobic lenses repel water, oil perspiration and dust. Liquids simply bead off the lens surface without streaking, and any liquids that do not slide off the lens by gravity can be more easily wiped away with with other makes of sunglasses, making cleaning your lenses a breeze.

Oleophobic (repels oils)

The oleophobic characteristics end the frustration experienced with oils, fingerprints and other smudges on conventional eyewear. These marks on your Oakley sunglasses will easily wipe away without residual, eliminating leftover haze and reducing the effort required to clean the lenses.

Anti-static

The anti-static properties mean that dust, dirt and other particles are not drawn to the lens via static electricity. Dirt and dust degrade optical clarity, prompt more frequent cleaning and increase the likelihood of scratching.

3-point fit

Oakley sunglasses are engineered to maintain a comfortable, secure fit. The company's patented "Three-Point Fit" ensures that each frame makes contact only at the bridge of the nose and behind the temples. This retains optics in perfect alignment and eliminates the discomfort of ordinary frames that hook the ears and mount with unbalanced pressure points. Some items are sheathed in "unobtainium" , an Oakley innovation that actually increases grip with perspiration.

Unobtainium

This is the name of Oakley's hydrophilic (water-appealing) synthetic rubber that increases grip when wet, usually applied to the contact points of the sunglasses (nose and sides of the head). A very similar material was used in Oakley's first product, the "Oakley grips", used on motorcycle hand grips (referred earlier).

Frame composition

Engineering breakthroughs in structural materials allow Oakley to produce lightweight, high performance eyewear frames that maintain superior comfort and protection. The polymers used in "O Matter" frames (a nylon composite) are formulated for high durability, as well as controlled flexibility for improved safety during …

How to Pick the Right Sunglasses For You

Designer sunglasses can be purchased at your local fashion clothing store, online and in a variety of other high street stores. Sunglasses are a popular accessory and should feel great on but do not forget about protecting your eyes too.

Eye Protection

Sunglasses have the practical effect of comforting your eyes from the glaring sun. This is also an important safety feature, as it greatly improves vision whilst driving (roads create terrible glare) and engaging in sporting activities.

Polarized lenses in sunglasses work by using vertically-aligned filters to block unwanted horizontally polarized light, ie. glare, while allowing the useful vertical light through to the eye. Non-polarized sunglasses only reduce the amount of visible light entering the eye, darkening the view. One in five sunglass lenses sold worldwide is a polarized lens, amounting to the estimated sale of 60 million polarized (or polarising) lenses.

Sunglasses also offer protection against the ultraviolet radiation which could cause cataracts and other damage to the eyes including degeneration of the macula, tissue growth on the white of the eye (pterygium) and skin cancer around the eyes if they are subjected to overexposure.

UV radiation has been classified into three types, UVA, UVB and UVC, but protection against UVC is not necessary as this type of ultraviolet is completely absorbed by oxygen and ozone in the atmosphere. It is important when buying sunglasses to make sure they are designed to block 99 to 100% of UV Radiation.

Different Lenses

Sunglass lenses come in different colors for choice of emphasis. Gray or smoke reduces all light evenly and does not alt contrast, whereas amber and brown do increase contrast. Yellow is good for low visibility and dark and cloudy conditions. It is possible to have a clear lens that still provides full UV protection. Transition lenses start off with about 30% color, and this darkens to 80% in intestine sunlight. This effect is now available with plastic or polycarbonate lenses as well as glass.

99-100% protection against UV radiation should be expected from all top brands of sunglasses, such as Animal, Bloc, Bolle, Dior, Electric Visual, Givenchy, Nueu, Oakley, Quick Silver, Ray Ban, Roxy, Spy Optic, and Vestal . Sports sunglasses come with full UV protection and a fit that makes them ideal for energetic activity. Many sports styles are unisex.

Frame coverage

Another feature to consider when choosing sunglasses is frame coverage, as if sun light can reach your eyes without going through the lens, then you have no protection from it. Also look out for shock absorbency or impact resistance, scratch resistance, hypo allergenic metal construction, and an overall comfortably lightweight product.

Style

Style wise, for men, Aviator sunglasses maintain their popularity, while the wraparound is a frame option that meets the needs of an active lifestyle and casual relaxation. If you are feeling confident and quirky there are several retro looks on offer from the top designers, such as Nueu and Ray Ban, or you can go for classic tortoiseshell. Dior are popular women's styles and also Roxy who offer stylish and sporty styles.

6 Safe-Guarding Tips for Traveling With Jewelry

Traveling somewhere warm for some fun in the sun this winter? Or maybe the snow-packed slopes are calling your name. Whatever your destination, the jewelry you bring along may be the most valuable items you pack, so take a little extra care in your travel planning.

1. First, decide what jewelry you actually will wear at your destination. That special four-carat ring you wear for special events? Probably not. The fun cultured pearl strand that goes with just about every outfit … definitely.

2. Make a list of the jewelry you are taking. Bring one copy with you, storing it separately from your jewelry bag, and leave one copy at home. Some insurance companies even suggest taking pictures of your jewelry or recording your special items on your video camera.

3. If you're flying, pack jewelry in your carry-on bag, never in checked baggage where it will be a shiny temptation for security screeners. Or, wear the jewelry on your travel day, as long as it's not bulky metals that could set off security screening equipment. For extra security, slip a pendant inside a shirt or sweater that you're wearing or spin a ring around so only the plain band shows.

4. If you are traveling by train or auto, put jewelry in a bag that you personally carry into restaurants and to your resort room or condo. And keep it with you at all times. Do not leave the jewelry in an unattended car or suitcase. Also, do not let the hotel staff handle the bag … and potentially help themselves to your bling.

5. At your condo or resort, store jewelry in the in-room safe when you're not wearing it.

6. Make sure your jewelry is properly insured and that your insurance policy provides coverage wherever your travels take you.

A lost diamond or gemstone can really put a damper on your much anticipated vacation getaway. Have the peace of mind that as you head to your winter escape, your precious items are safe and sound. Happy travels!

Get Your Ray Ban Club Master Sunglasses

Ray Ban Sunglasses have a magical way of surviving fashion storms ever since they came into being in the early 1930s. Ray Ban Club master sunglasses are among the most far -amed types of Ray ban designs. Perhaps, you remember the iconic portrait of Malcolm X in them. But, they became more popularized by the 1950s rock stars, and hence the name "Club master". Today, the newest versions of the same are a must have sun wear accessory for most fashion extremists and celebrities. They have a distinct way of bringing a classic sensation to any wearer since they still possess that "back in the days" authenticity.

They come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes to choose from. The retro accessories are mainly made of plastic or polycarbonate lenses and typically classic half metal frame. The frames supporting the lenses and bridges between the two lenses are normally coated with different colors such as stainless steel, ivory, gold, black, and red, among other colors. The lenses are also made with a blend of different colors such as the green and gray, silver and red or black and brown, among other shades. This makes Ray Ban Club master sunglasses a fit and live wear for both men and women; although there are some which are specifically for men, women or kids.

These glasses are heavier in weight compared to other Ray Ban sun wear. This gives you a feel of "brawny" on your face. Naturally, they have clearer lenses than most of the other Ray Ban sunglasses, and other models as well, and they do not distort visuals, either do they form deviations on images. Like other sunglasses, these sun glasses have the ability to shield you from Ultra-Violet rays and other harmful rays from the sun, making it safe for you to stay outdoors for a longer period even when the sunlight is harsh.

Ray-Ban Club master lenses are much stronger, and if you take proper care of them, they rarely get rough on the surface as they are resistant to scratches. However, it is recommended that you avoid wiping the lenses with rough clothes. Once you buy a pair of these magnificent sunglasses, you will be given a wiping cloth to wipe dust and remove finger prints, along with a Ray Ban flip-over case. Also, beside the case, you will be given a free guide on best wearing conditions. This is to ensure that your pair of Club master gives you service for a longer period of time and will not harm your eyes.

So, if you are looking for a pair of glasses this summer season, you have got to get Ray-Ban Club master sunglasses. The best thing about Ray ban designs is that they never go out of fashion and they always deliver on their promises therefore never disappoint. So, if you take proper care of your pair, you can wear them on for the next couple of decades as they are timeless.

Everything You Ever Need to Know About Men's and Women's Shirts

Men's shirts have been around for a long time, however, until the eighth century men's shirts were only worn under outer garments. The fact that they were seen as items of underclothing explains why it is seen as a faux pas for a man to remove his suit jacket uninvited. In 1871 Brown, Davis and Co. introduced the world to the first man's shirt with buttons all the way down the front. Today, these have evolved to become the formal and casual men's shirts and ladies shirts we know today.

Men's and ladies: fabric weaves and washes

The finest men's shirts are 100% cotton which ensures they are soft, breathable and durable. Here are some of the cotton fabric weaves, washes and styles you'll find in formal and casual shirts that are available today.

Poplin Crisp, cool and comfortable, poplin is the classic cotton shirt fabric that is ideal all year round, for many occasions.

Oxford

A shirt with an Oxford weave is generally a little heavier and warmer than a cotton poplin weave so it is ideal in the cooler autumn and winter months. Oxford cloth usually contains a combination of dyed and undyed threads to give a more relaxed casual shirt.

Pinpoint

The pinpoint weave is a combination of both cotton poplin and Oxford. It is woven using long staple cotton (for extra softness) and, as with the Oxford shirt weave, only the warp yarn is dyed.

Herringbone and twill

These are textured men's weaves that produce a diagonal structure and gives the shirts interesting accents. Both weaves are warmer than classic poplin so are favored in the colder seasons.

Peach finish

A shirt with a peach finish has usually undergone a process in which the fabric has been very lightly distracted – this gives it an extra soft feel. Men's and ladies shirts with a peach or carbon finish are usually casual shirts.

Vintage wash

Vintage wash men's and women's garments are very similar to those with peach finishes. They are exceptionally soft to the touch and have a 'worn-in' look which is very comfortable, cozy and relaxed.

Men's and ladies shirts: how to fold a shirt correctly

Ideally, men's and ladies shirts should be kept on hangers in the wardrobe, but there are occasions when shirts need to be folded. There is a knock to folding both smart and casual shirts that will ensure they will stay smooth and wrinkle-free. Lay the shirt face down with the buttons fastened, then fold one side over until about halfway along the shoulder. Fold the rest of the sleeve over itself so it lies flat in a straight line parallel to the side of the shirt. Repeat for the other side so the shirt forms a rectangle. Then fold the shirt in half so the bottom hem touches the collar.

Men's shirts

Men's shirts: how to find the right shirt for your build

Tall
If you are tall and lean choose a garment with cutaway collars, or spread collars, to help you look broader. If you are tall and muscular, a fitted shirt can help you look more powerful.

Athletic build
Athletic builds can pull off fitted or semi-fitted men's clothes rather well. Choose small collars (like cutaway collars) if you have a short neck.

Short build
Short and lean men should wear fitted or semi-fitted shirts as classic fit men's shirts will only drown them. Wider men look best in classic fit shirts with vertical stripes to help slim the frame.

Rotund build
Wide builds should choose classic fit shirts with pleats, ideally with vertical stripes. Also opt for classic collars which are large enough to draw attention away from the waist.

Why every man should own a white shirt

Until the end of the nineteenth century the white top was a sign of wealth because only a man with enough money could afford to have his washing done frequently – and white looks dirty the quickest. Today, men's formal white shirts are still viewed as an elegant option. Not only does a white shirt suit every man, it is easy to wear a man's white shirt as it will go with just about anything and be appropriate for many occasions.

Ladies shirts

Ladies shirts: a history

It is thought that women first began to wear shirts around 1890 when freedom fighters donned red wool shirts under the charismatic Giuseppe Garibaldi. Today, ladies shirts have evolved into many different styles including blouses, sleeveless shirts, casual shirts and more, in a variety of fabrics. As with men's shirts, the most popular choice are women's shirts in 100% cotton as they're soft, durable and can be easily dressed up for work or dressed down for the weekend.

The Definitive Guide to Revamping Old Clothes

They do not need to have this fate. With a bit of skill and inspiration, you can turn the plainest clothes into fashion-forward statements and give them new life. Do not worry if you're not the DIY type or if you do not have a lot of supplies around the house. These ideas are simpler than you think!

If you can use a sewing machine

The better you know how to sew, the more options you have when it comes to revamping old items of clothing. Also, the end result will look a bit more polished than if you were to use just scissors, needle and thread. Here are some simple ideas that you can apply even with minimal sewing knowledge:

· Do you find the neck of a blouse unflattering? It's easy to fix! You can easily turn a boat neck into a V-shape or a turtleneck into a crew neck!

· If you have a dress you love, but that does not fit you well in the bottom part, then you can cut that part off and turn it into a blouse. The same trick can be applied if the dress has a stain you can not get out or if you burn it with the iron.

· Although they have less fabric, shorts are priced the same as regular trousers. Find a pair you no longer wear and cut it off to get a pair of shorts! The benefit of using this method is that you can achieve exactly the length you want.

· Use the embroidery technique to apply unique shapes on basic T-shirts

· Sew a bit of lace at the end of the sleeves for a feminine boho effect.

· Instead of buying a new swimsuit coverup, you can cut an old T-shirt.

· Cut the back of T-shirts to create interesting patterns using beads

No sewing required

If you do not own a sewing machine or simply do not want to put a lot of effort into upgrading old clothes, these no-sew techniques are for you.

· Distressed jeans are really popular, but nobody wants to spend more than $ 50 on a pair of jeans that lacks most of the fabric. You can make your own troubled jeans by scrubbing the fabric with some wallpaper or pumice. This way, even your most worn, favorite pair of jeans can live on for less one more season.

· Wear ribbons. Find cute ribbon patterns online and, instead of using them to wrap gifts, use them to revamp your clothes. You can either stick them to the shoulders of blouses or you can wear a long ribbon ribbon as a belt to add shape to a straight, oversized dress.

· The distressed clothing trend is bigger than ever. Just like you did with distracted jeans, you can make your own shredded T-shirt by cutting holes in it. If you do not like the look of skin showing through, then another idea would be to take a large, men's cut band T-shirt and cut the neck and sleeves to create a muscle top.

· Draw patterns using lace. Take a piece of lace (including from a curtain, if you do not mind the damage) and apply in on top a clothing item you want to revamp. Then, using a waterproof sharpie or some special clothing paint, color the lace. This will create a unique pattern that withstands the washing machine cycle.

· Loving that cold shoulder trend, but you're not convinced you should break your capsule wardrobe rules for a new top? Then make your own by taking a basic tee or a floaty blouse and cutting off the shoulders!

· Everyone has a top that looks good, but needs something extra to shine. Enter the statement necklace. For this project, you will only need a statement necklace and some glue. Next time you're going out clubbing, you'll save a few minutes on looking for accessories.

· Buttons may be small, but they can make a huge difference to your outfit. To add a fresh touch to an old jacket, remove its old buttons and replace them with novelty ones. For example, you could add heavy, golden buttons to create a powerful military look.

A Beginner's Guide to the Dead Sea, Israel

The Dead Sea gets its name because its amazing levels of salinity makes it a harsh environment in which animals really find it impossible to survive. The name "the Dead Sea" was actually adopted by various European languages.

Historically, the Dead Sea formed part of the ancient "Lake Lisan", the lake which once extended from the north of the Sea of Galilee to the Arava desert. It is the lowest point on earth at approximately 417 meters below sea level. It's ten times saltier than the Mediterranean Sea with a salinity of 340 grams per liter. Obviously, going for a swim is tricky! But floating could not be easier – or more relaxing!

The air in the region is high in oxygen but low in pollens and other allergens. Air temperature is high even during the winter months. What makes the region extra special is the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays are naturally filtered, making it possible to lie out in the sun without the pain and discomfort of burning. This is a great factor for many people who suffer from skin diseases. The waters next to some parts of the coast also contain black mud deposits which are highly mineral enriched and a big part of any health and beauty treatments in the area.

The region's historical sites, which include Massada, Qumran, Jericho, Ein Gedi, the Roman fortresses and the monasteries in the Judea Desert, are among the most renamed in the world. There are also nature reserves, and plenty of beautiful scenes of arid deserts and oases alongside pools and waterfalls, full of stunning flora and fauna.

Great investment is made in the tourist industry in the region with the development of 4,000 hotel rooms of various standards, kibbutz resort villas, and other accommodation facilities. There are many exciting and unique activities for people visiting the Dead Sea region to enjoy including desert tours – on foot, in special vehicles or even on camel – Bedouin accommodation, rock climbing and repelling, and archeological and agricultural tours.

Start Your Own Jewelry-Making Business

In today's economy I find so many people trying to figure out ways to make a little extra money in their spare time. One way that's fun and entertaining is to start making your jewelry, beaded jewelry to be exact.

I got into making bead jewelry about seven years ago when I needed a hobby and wanted to find a way to make a little extra money. To be honest another hobby of mine was to BUY jewelry, so replacing that hobby with one that was cheaper, and allowed me to both sell and wear my product was a no brainer.

I sell at the local farmer's market and a few surrounding arts and crafts show. The space rent for places like this is pretty inexpensive, and I always earn enough to pay for the cost, materials and time it takes to set up and spend a weekend.

I've also started selling on consignment at some local stores, like the very bead store I usually buy all of my beads at, and I've been experimenting with selling online at places like eBay.

The jewelry I make is fairly simple, but similar to the type of costume jewelry you'd find at Target. I started out making necklaces, earrings and bracelets out of semi-precious stone beads, like green malachite or lapis lazuli. But the cost of materials has gone up quite a bit (have you seen the price of American turquoise beads lately?). My advice is to stick to the less expensive pieces, under $ 20.00 for a necklace in my area of the country. This type of jewelry is a compulsive buy for many people: they see it, they like it and they buy it.

In the past couple of years I've found that I sell more jewelry (and make more money) by using glass beads instead, particularly Chinese or India glass. They come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes and finishes.

If you want ideas about what type of jewelry to make, just go by the local department stores, or even better the local clothing stores. This type of jewelry goes in and out of fashion about every three months. You can even target styles to gender and age by hitting the appropriate stores (American Eagle and A & E for the younger beach-bum crowds, Express for the young fashionistas, etc.).

Aside from the beads, you'll just need a variety of clasps, some bead wire and crimp beads. If you want to make earrings you'll have to also get some French wires and drops. In all you could get enough materials to make a table's worth of merchandise for less than $ 100.00.

With any luck you can turn that $ 100.00 into $ 300.00, and have fun (and look good) doing it!

Aviator Sunglasses – Classic Style For a Cool Image

The History: A Classic Style Born

If you're anything like me, you always thought Tom Cruise pioneered aviator sunglasses to the world. In 1986, Top Gun set the stage for a new fashion era. However, the reality of aviators debut was very different. In 1936, the US military commissioned Ray Ban to make sunglasses as standard issue for pilots in the Air Force. Pilots needed protection against sun and glare without decreasing visibility. The dark teardrop-shaped lenses do a great job of covering every angle to keep out as much light as possible. Aviators have continued to be popular among military and law enforcement personnel, but in recent years have grown in popularity around all types of wearers.

Who Made Aviators Popular?

Hollywood has started many a fashion craze, and sunglasses are no exception. Aviator sunglasses became extremely popular in the '80s with Top Gun and a slew of law enforcement movies. Recently, even more movies have surfaced star actors and actresses sporting aviators. Carrie-Anne Moss showed off a pair of black aviators in The Matrix. Johnny Depp played Raoul Duke in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas wearing orange-tinted aviator sunglasses. A more recent example would be Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They wore "Nitro" glasses by Oliver Peoples, classic aviators with yellow lenses.

What Types of Aviators are Available?

The newest style for aviators is colored lenses. Some of the more common colors seen have been blue, purple, pink, orange and yellow. Bolle, Oakley, Dior, Swiss Army and all other popular brands have their own designs of aviator sunglasses. Aviators are even available as prescription sunglasses.

Classic Aviator

The only true "classic" pair of aviators is the original Ray Ban. However, most other brands that sell aviator sunglasses have based them on the traditional, classic aviators.

Polarized Aviator

Many of the newer pairs of aviators are polarized. Polarized sunglasses block out the majority of horizontal light waves allowing only vertical light waves to pass through untouched.

Mirrored Aviator

Reflective sunglasses come with a reflective coating that produces a mirrored look. These aviators often come with a gradient coating that gradually changes from top to bottom. The main disadvantage of mirrored sunglasses is that they are easily scratched. Even so, they look really cool!

How To Get Better Lyrics

Whether you’re an advanced artist, or just starting out in the game, the one thing that all rappers and singers need is… LYRICS! If you’re a more advanced artist, this is sure to help further you in your journey to the top. However, if you’re a beginner, this guide will catapult you to the next level in virtually NO TIME! You can pick and choose which methods to try freely, but for the ABSOLUTE BEST results follow this guide EXACTLY!

Step 1. Read Daily.

Reading is the NUMBER ONE pathway to gaining better lyrics. Not only does it increase your Rap skills, reading also expands your vocabulary. When the vocabulary is expanded, YOU, the rapper, singer, or songwriter is able to express himself much more freely, fluently, and accurately. Most people only use a certain amount of words per day, even in a lifetime. Just imagine if you learned 20 or more new words, and could use them correctly in a sentence… The next time you hit the studio to record your one of your songs, you’ll sound like a much more advanced artist! This is the first and most important step to gaining better lyrics. With that being said, pick up some books that interest you, as well as some magazines, more web articles like these and be sure to READ EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Step 2. Write Daily.

Just as reading is fundamental to gaining better lyrics, writing is also an essential part of your journey. Wether it’s a full song, a verse, or a few punch-lines, if you want to be the BEST rapper or singer, you have to write EVERY SINGLE DAY! Even if it seems like you’re not getting better. The more you work at writing, the tighter your rhymes will become. Just throw on your favorite instrumentals, vibe to them, and write whatever comes to you. It does’nt really matter what you’re writing, just be sure to do it as much as possible. It’s also good to write about different subjects. Challenge yourself, get out of your comfort zone, and every now and then, try different styles of writing. Remember… whenever you write, you’re increasing the quality of your lyrics… Be sure to WRITE EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Step 3. Freestyling.

Although you may not know this, but freestyling can help you achieve better lyrics. Freestyling is an art form that requires one to think on His/her feet, have fluidity, and constantly be creative. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an expert… Everyone should try freestyling. You’d be amazed at what you’ll come up with on the fly! If you are a beginner, don’t worry about sounding SO good at first, you WILL get better. Just practice with the ultimate goal of being the best you possibly can be at your craft. Some of the best rappers can freestyle. It also makes coming up with songs a lot easier. With regular practice, you’ll start to notice your skills getting sharp as a razor blade!

Step 4. Listen to other Artists with Lyrics.

One of the most important things to do on top of the prior tips is to listen to artists with great lyrics. Just as the old saying goes, “You are what you eat,” I also believe that “You are what you listen to”. A lot of times when you first start writing, you tend to sound a lot like the artists that you listen to the most. An example of artists with good lyrics would be Jay-Z, Nas, 2Pac, Biggie, Common, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, The Game, Jadakiss, Cam’ron, T.I., Outkast, 8Ball & MJG, and many others! You should also listen to artists that are considered to be from the “Golden Era” of Hip-Hop. These are some of those artists: Eric B. Rakim, EPMD, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, KRS-One, Public Enemy, NWA, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah and more! Jamming other artists with impeccable lyrics on the regular will inspire you and drive you to work harder to enhance your lyrics.

Step 5. Get Better Beats!

Last but not least, you need HOT BEATS! Ideas can come from anywhere, but most of the time our main source of inspiration is a dope instrumental. How can you make an epic song or the next club banger if the beats aren’t helping to motivate you to go as hard as possible with your rhymes?! You can’t! Well… you can, but things will go a lot smoother for you when you’re able to vibe to a beat that you’re feeling, versus some whack sorry excuse for a beat. If you’re featuring on someone else’s song, you might not be able to help the whackness… However on your own projects, be sure to get the tightest production possible. It will inspire …

Selecting a Gold Cross Pendant – Wearing Your Faith Proudly

Many people wear a gold cross pendant to display not just their dedication to a particular faith, but also to represent a specific path they choose to walk. It does not take a genius to see a cross on someone's neck to figure out that they are espousing a Christian belief system. In addition to conveying a specific message, gold crosses are worn as fashion statements and as a mark of affiliation.

White, Yellow or Pink?

Gold is available in a variety of shades. While the specific color is determined by the metal that is added to the pure gold, karat measurements are consistent throughout the colors. Each karat presents 1/24 of the total quantity of gold within an item – so something that is 12 karats is 50% gold and 50% other metals. Nickel or palladium is used to make white gold, pink is created by adding copper, and green gold requires the addition of silver.

Simple or Fancy?

You can get a gold cross pendant that is essentially two straight lines, or you can find something encrusted with diamonds or made of intricate filigree. The style, size, and color are really a matter of personal choice. For those allergic to silver or base metals, a gold cross is the perfect solution. No one is allergic to gold, but it will pay to check which metals have been used in the alloy, as some individuals are allergic to copper or nickel.

The chain which you choose will also have an impact on the general appearance of your necklace, so make sure you coordinate the pendant with a specific chain.

Part of a Club

Each time you see someone wearing a gold cross you know in an instant certain things about them. You do not have to strike up an involved conversation to know that you are looking at a fellow Christian; in fact, you become part of a specific club by wearing this sign of your faith. It's a little thing, true, but it is still part of the experience of wearing a cross.

The best selection of gold crosses is available online. To make sure you get what you want, order from a reputable dealer. Between the variety of colors, styles, and sizes you will find, try to begin your shopping experience with some idea of what you want, or you will spend hours narrowing down your list of possibilities.

Whether you get your gold cross pendant for yourself or as a gift, there is one thing that is certain: this is a piece of jewelry you will wear for a lifetime.
