Characteristics of Bad Public Speakers

Congratulations! You’ve set your sights on a lofty goal, being one of the worst public speakers imaginable. It will take a while and require a lot of practice, but if you do your best at being the worst, soon nobody will want to hear you speak in public. Follow these simple rules, and you’ll soon develop a reputation as one of the worst public speakers around!

1) Mumble and Speak Softly: Good public speakers want their messages to be clear and precise, easy for listeners to follow, so in order to be the worst you need to be as incomprehensible as possible. Mumble when you talk and speak softly, so that none of your listeners can hear what you say or understand your words. If even the front row of your listeners has to lean in to hear you, you’re doing a great job.

2) Avoid Eye Contact: The last thing you want to do is look at the audience; they might mistakenly understand something you’ve said, or at least think that you genuinely want to connect with them. Instead, look almost every place else; the ceiling, your shoes, the walls, or behind you, away from the audience (perfect if you have a chalkboard or white board to stare at the whole time). As long as you are looking somewhere other than towards the audience, they’ll get the clue that you’re really not interested in them.

3) Move Constantly While Speaking: Whether it’s a simple nervous twitch or full blown pacing up and down the stage or other public speaking area, you want to make sure that you never stop moving. Not simply walking calmly or making a few hand gestures either; you want to be moving frantically and unpredictably, one minute circling the stage, the next minute waving your arms around randomly. At no point do you want your movements to have anything to do with what you are talking about; the less sense your actions make, the better.

4) Don’t Practice Beforehand: The very first time you say your speech should be when you are on stage, looking at an eager audience who expect you to talk like a professional. Even if you are an expert on the speech material (and why would you give a speech on something you know when you’re trying to give a bad speech?), if you don’t practice what you want to say, you’ll be sure to struggle with the speech, making long pauses as you try to find the words you’re seeking, and fill the speech with ums and ahs.

5) Don’t Write Down Your Speech: While we’re on the subject, you definitely don’t want to write down your speech or any notes about what you want to say. If you have notes, you might stay on track with your speech, covering the material you wanted to cover, and generally staying on track. If you do keep papers on you during your speech (perfect for if you need something to look at rather than your audience), make them random and unorganized, flip through them at regular intervals, and read the most boring and irrelevant parts throughout your speech.

There you go; if you want to be a horrible, atrocious, and downright bad public speaker, all you need to do is to follow these simple rules, and you’ll be widely known as the worst speaker by anyone in your audience. Keep it up for a few speeches, and nobody will ever ask you to speak again! (Or, you could do the exact opposite of what this article says, and you’ll end up giving a fairly solid, well liked speech. Why you would want to do that, I don’t know, but the possibility is there if you want.)

The Fendi Handbag

The Fendi label is a name associated with luxury and high fashion. Fendi handbags are now something that celebrities are frequently seen with. Fendi was founded in 1918, making the Fendi name almost a hundred years old! Adele Casagrande was the founder of the Fendi label. She originally set up a store in Rome, Italy to sell fur and leather in a boutique-type shop. Later on, Casagrande was married to a designer and business man, who was called Eduardo Fendi. The Fendi label became very popular after the boutique name was changed to Fendi.

In 1932, the Fendi company opened another store in the Via Piave region of Rome. This store took off, and became very popular among the citizens who had a taste for luxury items. The designer accessories for sale at the boutique became a big hit, including their Fendi handbags. After a while, the Fendi family, including the children, all became involved in the family business.

Fendi really took off around the second half of the Twentieth Century. During this time, Bloomingdales, an extremely popular and high-end department store started to carry Fendi handbags. This made the Fendi name internationally famous. Soon, the Fendi name began to spread all over Europe and the United States. A line that used less-expensive furs and designer accessories was created by Fendi in 1969, which was also a big hit.

Fendi handbags are now one of the most sought-after items in luxury designer wear. Due to the advancement of modern technology, people no longer need to even leave their homes to experience great luxury! You can easily buy a Fendi handbag online, but not all places are created equal. The best way to find deals for these amazing items, is through luxury handbag auction sites. While there is some concern of authenticity, it is very easy to tell apart fake handbags from genuine ones. Furthermore, the handbags almost always sell below retail value if you buy them through luxury handbag auction sites.

Protect Your Eyes and Look Fashionable With Cool Sunglasses

In recent years, there has been a significant rise in the consciousness of the public about the dangers of skin cancer and the importance of keeping your skin protected from the harmful rays of the sun. However, not many people realize that our eyes are also similar to similar dangers and that they also require some kind of protection against excess exposure to sunlight. The good thing about this is that there are hundreds of sunglasses that you can choose from to keep your eyes protected, without sacrificing style. In fact, most sunglasses are very stylish and can be very instrumental in enhancing your overall look.

People have been using sunglasses to protect the eyes for many decades now. Even before the first pair of sunglasses was created, it has been discovered that ancient people had already used some kind of eyewear many centuries ago. These early versions of the sunglasses were found in the Arctic remains of the Inuit people who had used eyewear made of wood and bone with tiny slits. These were supposedly used to prevent their eyes from being damaged by snow blindness. Interestingly, a similar kind of contraption is mentioned in the novels of Jean Auel, which works are based largely on actual scientific research. This only goes to show that it is really very likely that the use of eyewear has actually started earlier than we had initially thought.

The earliest predecessor of the current tinted sunglasses may be traced to the early Chinese civilizations during the medieval period. However, instead of providing protection against the sun, these glasses were used by judges during court trials in order to conceive their expressions from the other individuals in the courtroom. The concept of using tinted shades to actually provide eye protection was first materialized when James Ayscough, an apprentice to an optician, created the first pair for his own personal use. He had the idea that excessively bright light actually harms the vision. Fortunately for him, his idea caught on and eyeglass manufacturers began making tinted sunglasses on a regular basis.

All of this happened many centuries ago but it was only during the 1930s that the general public started to regard sunglasses as a real fashion accessory and not just a means to protect the eyes. The first sunglass company in the United States was established in New Jersey and from that point, there was nowhere to go but up.

During the years of the war, the government mandated Bausch & Lomb to produce several sunglasses for the Air Force so that the pilots will be protected against the constant glare in the sky. It was also around this time that Ray Ban first came up with their signature aviator style sunglasses known for their polarized lens and stylish design. Today, the war has long been over but Ray Ban shades live on and continue to be one of the best selling sunglasses not only in the United States but all over the world.

Considering its humble beginnings, no one would have predicted that sunglasses would be enjoying the immense success that it has today. Sunglasses are now worn by all sorts of people, regardless of the age, gender, occupation or cultural background. The price varies greatly, with the cheapest ones selling for less than 5 bucks, and the more high-end brands reaching up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars. However, expensive sunglasses do not always necessarily offer higher quality in terms of protection. While most of these branded shades do give you 100% UV protection, you can actually get the same kind of protection from cheaper glasses. It is true though, that the designs of branded sunglasses are very rarely equaled by those of less expensive versions. If you can afford to shell out hundreds of dollars on an Armani or Dior pair of sunglasses, go ahead as long as the pair you are interested in will give you the protection that you need.

Selecting the right design of sunglasses can also be quite tricky, especially if you have no idea of how to look. There are certain types of frames that flatter different face shapes, and your optometrist will be able to give you some hints in this regard. You will also have to make your final decision based on the type of lens used. Most people today prefer plastic lenses as opposed to the heavier and more fragile glass. The material used for the frame is also something to think about. Metal and plastic are the most common options.

Sunglasses have been around for several years and to this day, there are no signs to indicate that it will soon be out of fashion. On the contrary, its extreme popularity only goes to show that it is here to stay …

Home Loans in the UK

Owning a home is the most important dream of any person. It is one of the basic necessities of life as stated by Maslow in his 'Theory of Hierarchy of Needs'. People generally desire to have a home which not only gives them shelter, but also should be the expression of their artistic tastes, and an object of pride. Owning a home is a matter of spending of life's savings. For some- related to the high e-learning group, it is not a problem; but for others arranging financing for their dream home is a very critical decision, they ever take in their life. To enable people to realize there dream, financial institutions and banks offer home loans to people.

Home loans play a very important role in the lives of UK nationals. Every year there are borrowings worth billions of pounds by the UK nationals for home loans. Now days, home loans have become a necessary part of life as it is not essential that one has the necessary amount of money to finance his immediate requirement for purchasing home. One can avail home loans, after signing a document with a financial institution on a specified amount of money to go with the purchase with that borrowed money. Lenders and financial institutions keep the house or any other residential property as collateral. In the UK, home loans are offered by innumerable financial institutions at various APR. The amount of loan approved usually depends on the income and assets of the borrower and his capacity to pay back the loan.

In the UK, home loans offered are of two types:

Fixed rate home loan

Variable rate home loan

Fixed rate home loans are offered to borrowers at a prefixed rate of interest for a specified time period. In case of upward fluctuations in interest rates in the market, customers enjoy the benefit of not paying any extra sum money on the increased rate of interest. Variable rate home loans, on the other hand are left to the mercy of lenders and government regulations. In case of upward trend, the borrowers have to tighten their budget.

With the ever increasing competition in the market, more and more financial institutions are offering home loans at lower APR along with customer oriented services. All companies claim to be the leading loan and other financial services provider with the best service. In order to tap the growing market companies and lending institutions are coming up with more innovative products to cater to the requirements of all the customers. With the advent of internet, the services offered have become more fast and efficient. Now one can compare the best rate offered in the market at the click of the mouse.

The complications in home owner loans fall when borrower defaults in the payment of the monthly installment. In many cases, it has been seen that lenders start charging more interest rate than the standard rate. Wise borrowers, in such situation, switch over to a new lender for better rate of interest and fee waivers. This is termed as remortgage. Remortgage is a very prudent way of avoiding heavy interest rate. There are innumerable agencies which suggest better remortgage options to the borrowers.

Moreover, with gradual shift from the sellers 'market to the buyers' market, the ultimate beneficiary is the customer. Companies even offer value added services to the borrowers to evolve brand loyalty. Companies are even leveraging strength from modern management practices and corporate governance. In the long run, company which offers the best financial solution with the right set of marketing mix will win the race.

Lens Materials Found On Sunglasses

Did you know that there are multiple types of lens materials used on glasses of all types? Most people would give you a blank stare if asked about some of the names below. It's true; glass is not the only stuff in town.

In this article I will go over the most common materials used to make lenses, as well as the advantages each one offers. Who knows, you may just drop your current pair of shades in favor of something else.

Glass – Optical quality glass is free of distortion causing objects such as bubbles and / or seeds that plague other types of glass. Because of this, optical glass makes the clearest lenses available anywhere. While optical quality glass lenses may be heavier than plastic lenses, they are much more prone to survive heat damage. Also of interest is the fact that glass is much more scratch resistant than either of the two lens materials listed below.

CR-39 – Probably the best optical quality plastic, CR-39 is made from hard resin and is highly impact resistant – Much more than glass. If you need something extra light, CR-39 saves the day too; it weighs half as much as glass.

Polycarbonate – Polycarbonate is the strongest of all optical quality lens materials. Most ofen, you will see safety glasses, ballistics glasses, and high impact glasses being made from polycarbonate. Lenses made from polycarbonate are also the lightest – three times lighter than glass. Not everything is rosy though; polycarbonate lenses scratch easily, and must be hard coated to meet the scratch resistance that CR-39 plastic offers.

So which material is right for you? Most of the time, the type of lens you choose is a matter of comfort. If you need something light and strong, the obvious choice is either CR-39 or polycarbonate. If the ultimate in scratch resistance is what you are after, then get glass.

Either way, by properly educating yourself about the various advantages and disadvantages each material has, you can make an informed decision as to what you really need.

Mirror Tinted Contact Lenses

Mirror tinted contact lenses are among the radical innovations introduced with today's technology. Surprisingly however, while being a fresh concept, mirror tinted contact lenses could have experienced decades ago with its not-at-all-new technology. But they did not.

Mirror tinted contact lenses are the largest hype and the hottest topic of interest with today's party loving Americans, and the attention it's getting is what made the innovation fresh. And even without those typical undue revelries, these fancy and crazy eye wear are getting second looks as useful proponents suited for daily use.

Mirror tinted contact lenses can be tailored even to reflect UV rays, much similar to sunglasses. It can go even further, darkening in texture if there is too much light, while lightening in the absence of such. It can also be adapted to cater particular needs, such as color enhancing contact lenses that afford more vision to objects. One instance is using yellow enhancement contact lenses for tennis play that would brighten yellow objects like the ball while muting other colors. Same physics would apply with baseball players; a streaking white ball will be easier to spot in a fraction of a second while using specialized lenses. If truth be told and barring production complications, MaxSight will be available for interested ball players that will help filter out blue light so that the white ball stands out better in a moving environment. This blue light filter is similar to the technique employed while filming Sleepy Hollow, where the movie was showing significantly dark and eerie atmosphere even while being shot in clear daylight.

Aside from that, mirror tinted contact lenses have been garnering attention for some time already for cosmetic reasons. By large, the orders for mirror contact lenses are non-corrective, called Plano lenses, and are frequently disposable. Perhaps the biggest influence for these type of mirror tinted contact lenses came from Riddick from the movie "Pitch Black" and its sequel "The Chronicles of Riddick" where the most striking feature of the anti-hero is his silver tinted eye referred to a number of instances, as eyeshine.

Abortion Methods – Learn 7 Different Types Of Abortion

Spontaneous, Herbal and Induced are the three general methods of abortion. Although it is not that popular or necessary in this modern era but there is a method known as self-inflicted abortion also. Most of the people do not consider self-inflicted abortion to be among the major methods.

In self-inflicted abortion a a sharp object such as a coat hanger is inserted into the cervix of the expecting mother. This method is known to be extremely dangerous or deadly and is not at all reliable.

One of the oldest method of abortion is herbal abortion which is also not considered very safe. The result of Herbal abortion is sometimes only a sick pregnant woman. It is not much different from the worse self-inflicted abortion. Over hundreds of years, several herbs are used to carry on herbal abortion. These herbs use to be silphium, birthwort, black cohosh, pennyroyal, tansy etc. of which some are now extinct. It also include modern day herbs that some people use daily such as juniper, lavender, parsley, thyme, marjoram and dill. Such herbs are termed as abortifacient or simply the herbs that can cause abortion.

However, surgical methods are the most commonly used abortion methods these days. Doctor may initiate one of the three surgical procedures to initiate abortion at an early term. The three surgical procedures followed for abortion are:

1) Manual Vacuum Aspiration or MVA- In MVA method a syringe is used to suction out tissue which causes abortion

2) Electric Vacuum Aspiration or EVA- In an EVA method an electric pump is used to suction the tissue out.

3) Dilation and Curettage or D&C- Once the cervix of the pregnant woman has been opened, sharp curette is used to clean the uterus walls.

4) Dilation and Evacuation or D&E- In this method the uterus is cleaned by the use of instruments and suction once the cervix of the pregnant woman has been opened.

5) Hysterectomy Abortion- Hysterectomy Abortion is related to the cesarean section to terminate a pregnancy.

6) Controversial Intact Dilation and Extraction or IDX- IDX is also known as Partial Birth Abortion. In this method the cervix is diated by use of forceps to grasp and turn fetus in breech position. Then the fetus is withdrawn and only head of the fetus is left inside cervix. Then the head is collapsed by suction of brain matter from the skull. This is done through the small incision which is made at the base of the skull. IDX or Partial Birth Abortion is a banned abortion method under Partial Birth Abortion Ban law. This law was passed by Congress and came into effect when President George W Bush signed it in 2003. But this law does not provide any information in cases where abortion is necessary for woman’s health and is therefore examined by US Supreme Court for its legal validity.

7) Chemical Methods- Combination of drugs can effectively terminate or end pregnancy. Drugs such as mifepristone or methotrexate are used for abortion which is followed by prostaglandin. Prostaglandin comes in two types and its usage depends on the place where abortion is done. Gemeprost is used in Sweden, UK whereas in US misoprostol is used commonly for abortion.

Uggs Sheepskin Boots – Are the Worth It?

Many believe the Uggs boot to be the most comfortable on the market. It is crafted with sheepskin which is soft. It conforms to the shape of the foot and keeps it cool in hot weather and warm in the freezing cold. The functionality and craftsmanship of the sheepskin along with its comfort makes it a popular choice.

You will adore these Uggs as you consider how they leapt from the fashion pages and into the mainstream. Why are they so popular? It’s because they are stylish and comfortable. Consumers overwhelmingly chose them for those reasons and not the hype.

If you are looking for a discounted pair of Uggs boots or a special deal on Ebay, you may find something that will fit your budget. But, you will not find discounted merchandise at retail and cyber shoe stores.

They were popular with Australian swimmers and surfers in the 1960’s then migrating to California for the shakedown fashion cruise. Needless to say, they became a sensation.

Warm Ugg sheepskin slippers are available in short and taller styles in colors ranging from neutral colors, tans, browns and as flat heels that can be worn as a slipper or street moccasin. They offer absolute comfort in summer as well as winter. The great part is that they are virtually odor free.

The shoes were so practical and comfortable that word spread on the street about the footwear’s attributes. Sheepskin is much more comfortable than cowhide and odors tend not to develop because the shoe breathes well.

The sheepskin fleece allows for air circulation that in the summer doesn’t heat up your feet and in winter provides insulation against the cold. It’s a comfortable boot for all seasons. That applies to their slippers as well. The Ugg tanned outer surface with wool inner lining are designed to wear without socks. Ugg Australia is the comfort shoe of choice.

Did you ever wonder how the word Ugg came about? The common interpretation was ”ugly boot”. The Australian sheep shearers who first crafted the boot thought they were ugly. Well, the name stuck even though the newly-designed version is attractive and a far cry from the frontier beginnings. They are cozy and functional.

Today there is a wider number of designs to choose from for men and women’s Ugg boots. There is the classic Ugg boot and newer designs in a variety of colors and materials. Women’s crochet designs got the nod from Oprah Winfrey “Favorite Things” segment with their knitted upper part and come with a sheepskin sock liner. Uggs are available in various lengths and colors. Other Ugg boot designs have incorporated design features that sport a slimmed down upper part along with some styles including a laced look.

Lovers Dance

Here I sit in silent wonder searching beyond the veil of consciousness driven by Divine discontent. Yes, only in the peace of stillness can the source of all knowledge, love and wisdom be found in the collective unconscious or universal mind. The sweetest music in the universe is when lovers dance to the tune of the one vibration. However so many in this period of history, fail to learn how to dance correctly in order to create the most beautiful inspirational harmony. This leads us to the realization, that the main purpose of relationship is spiritual growth. Correct relationship with another is only possible when first you have attained this within yourself.

The world reflects back to you, your own energy state. Therefore in the beginning of your conscious journey in life you need to become aware of your own unique energy state or frequency. The easiest way to work this out is to look at what is reflected back from a partner with what you can exchange energy with love and caring. Unfortunately it is not possible to learn very much from someone for what you care very little about.

So now this leads us into a good story because I like you enjoy a good story. The greatest joy in this world is a person who feels that he has been truly, completely and totally divinely blessed. However Daniel did not feel this way as he sat on the beach early one fine morning watching the sun rise. The sun rose from out of the East pushing back the darkness. This is the beginning of another day completing another cycle of rebirth.

Daniel sat there watching the sun's rays first stream out from the horizon over the ocean; followed by the illumination of the tops of the clouds and then the tops of the trees on the headland. It is at first a heel glow before being transformed into a golden ball of light. How the evolution of the soul so closely mirrors this simple awakening each morning.

At first the soul is so clouded down by the outflowing controls of the ego that only a dim light can be seen. However in the fullness of time as the ego is so worn down through pain and suffering experience it ever gives up or surrenders to the higher power within. So now we can see only the golden glow of the beautiful uplifting all inspiring soul light a burning fire.

Yes, in stillness Daniel sat there quietly pondering on the cyclic nature of life. Contemplating upon another failed relationship wondering what he had learned out of it all? This man is a little bitter may we say because he is now the veteran survivor of a couple of failed relationships. He is a little scarred and battle weary from his experiences. However in failure you have the seeds of success. So as he was always the eternal optimist; his interest was soon ignited when one fine day he sees a pretty young thing oops I mean young woman move across his field of vision. Attraction is the soul's joke on the personality.

The woman of his attraction was Rose an aspiring high priestess we may say. Although she understands the theory of the ancient wisdom she has yet the skill to live this correctly in practice. Even though she is a few years younger in physical age, her spiritual maturity was a finer lighter frequency by comparison. As their eyes met them both felt the shudder of instant magnetic attraction as their auras complimented each other lifting their composite energy even higher.

The higher frequency person is the teacher or guide while the lower frequency person is the student. We are all guides or students depending on who we are talking to on the path of life. Because Rose could see a little further than her partner she could see the limitations. However she chooses to commit herself as an act of service. In addition due to a very deep inner insecure, she felt drawn back into relationship to fulfill the soul driven urge to find completion. Every person who understands and lives personal responsibility correctly is also a priest. This is why we say that she is an aspiring high priestess because she is working towards this goal.

From that very first moment they pursued a path of courtship finding that place where all lovers ever go, the consummation of their love by becoming lovers. The big commitment was then made to love each other forever and always. This couple had a lot going for them in many respects. In particular they had an understanding of energy conservation. In addition the ability to raise energy from the lower to the higher chakra's or energy center's in the …

A Metaphor for Refractive Errors

Almost anything the most beautiful possible can be perceived only through the eyes. The eyes have long been considered as an essential organ for all sighted individuals. The eye is in fact a very complex organ that consist of various delicate parts. Each of these parts describes careful protection. Putting aside its complexity, the eye can be considered as a circle. It is easy to understand that the image of the circle will fall at the opposite side on the margin of the circle if a person shines a candle light in front of the circle. However, people with refractive errors have irregular eye balls. Taking the same example, the image of the candle light falls either in front or far behind the circle because of the irregular shape of the circle itself. This metaphor simply explains the principle of refractive errors. The reason is that those pamphlets are always hard to understand.

Once told to wear a pair of corrective eye glasses, either a child or an adult will probably get agitated or annoyed. However, it is often inevitable while the doctor believes that the glasses are the best solution. Refractive errors including nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism are the exact reasons for the need to use prescription glasses. It is impossible to shrink the eye by making a hole. Nor it is possible to make it enlarge by blowing air into it. Eyeglasses with appropriate powers are now widely used to make the eyes focus properly. Applying these lenses to the same metaphor, they are actually located in between the candle light and the circle. By adding such a lens, the image will fall exactly on the circle. Prescription lenses come with either minus or plus powers, corresponding to farsightedness or nearsightedness respectively. Just get relaxed when you are told to use eyeglasses.

Wind Power – The Ideal Power Source

Wind power: Nature and Origin

The solar radiations give birth to wind. These radiations heat up the surface of the planet earth, although in unequal proportions. This uneven heating follows as a direct result of the abrasive earth surface, rotational planetary movements as well as the continuously altering propensities of heat absorption of the different levels of the earth's atmosphere. The seas, oceans and vegetation types on earth play are important roles in this regard as well. As a result, some parts of the planet experience consistantly higher temperatures than certain other parts, all round the year.

For example, the poles of earth remain covered by snow and are always way colder than the warm equatorial regions. As a result of this phenomenon, air in the warmer parts grows lighter and less dense, and as such, begins moving in the upward direction. This creates a sort of vacuum in their place, which gets occupied rather quickly from the colder, denser, heavier air from nearby locations. Wind is defined as this movement process of air, and a form of kinetic energy is released from it. Modern technologies are made use of to acquire wind energy from this kinetic energy. The procedure of tapping and using wind energy to produce such outputs that can be used multiple number of times (like, electricity) is termed wind power.

Global usability of wind power

Wind is correctly described as the circulatory system of the entire earth. When sun rays reach the earth, the later gets heated up in an unequal fashion, due to rotational movements, uneven nature of earth's terrain, properties of the water bodies that differ from the vegetation-covered parts. The atmospheric levels of earth also vary in ability to absorb heat in its various layers. As a result of this unequal heating of the earth's surface, temperature differences remain between the earth's equator and the polar regions.

Air from the warmer parts of earth starts moving upwards. The void that created soon gets filled up by heavier air from the local cooler realms. Here, a redistribution of heat levels from the colder parts of the earth to the reliably warmer parts occurs. This process generates a form of energy. The latter can be used to produce electricity and / or mechanical energy (as the requirement might be). In fact, electricity produced from wind power resources make up approximately one per cent of the total worldwide supply of power forms.

There is a reasonable scope of more in-depth studies in topics surrounding wind power topics. However, usage of wind power has already become very popular all over the world. Germany, Denmark and America are the top three countries in terms of wind production. The recent past has indeed seen a spurt in the global usage of wind power.

The manner of working of wind power

Modern methods are used to tap and harness wind power, so that the latter can be converted into mechanical energy and electricity. The devices that generate mechanical energy from wind power resources are called wind mills. Wind turbines are the wind energy systems that convert wind power into electrical power. For realizing how wind power is exactly used, let us now look at the nature of the wind turbines. An average wind turbine has about two or three propeller blades, which are attached to a rotor.

A movable main shaft is used, to which the rotor, with its blades are fixed. The shaft is then attached to an electronic generator. When the latter starts to spin, electricity is produced. The blades of a wind turbine answer those in an airplane. Also, the most modern technologies, and the latest designs are used to manufacture of these turbines. Here, the latter can transform wind's kinetic energy to electric power. In keeping with the various uses that the wind turbines can be put to, they come with variable levels of power rating.

For example, a domestic home needs electricity that can be provided by a low powered turbine. However, for broad-based provincial an / or national application purposes, more electricity is required, and hence turbines with higher power ratings are needed. The power rating that any turbine has depends crucially on the speed with which wind moves across any particular region. This is in accordance with the law that, the amount of wind energy generated goes up with the velocity of the wind (raised to the power of 3). This immediately implies that, higher wind velocities would help in the production of more wind energy.

The effectiveness of wind power

Wind power systems use wind resources as their fuel. Now, wind is a free source of fuel that can be renewed as many times as wished for. As long as sun beats down on earth, no chances of exhaustion of wind stock …

LED Retrofit Kits And Their Benefits

Sunglasses and Beach Volleyball

Your volleyball game can be easily derailed if you don’t have the right sunglasses. Anyone who has ever gone to the beach knows that the sand and the surf can make the sun really intense. With all that reflected glare, sunglasses are a necessity for anyone at the beach. And beach volleyball players are no exception.

To play volleyball at the beach you have to follow the path of a white ball in front of a white hot sun. And if you look down then you have to look for a white ball on white sand background. The glare of the sun reflected off of the sand can be particularly vicious for beach volleyball players. They also need eye protection when diving into the sand to get a dig and getting sand in their eyes.

The successful beach volleyball player knows that it’s a small investment in a quality pair of volleyball sunglasses that can make the difference between playing good and playing awesome. Even the occasional or recreational player can benefit from high-quality polarized sunglasses. The difference can really be quite stunning. You will be amazed at how much more in control you can be when you can easily see the trajectory of the ball without squinting. And how quickly you can react to the movements of the ball when you can actually see it without guessing where it might be going.

Beach volleyball sunglasses are not just for the upper-echelon players who want to advance to the next level. Sunglasses will, without any doubt, make the game more enjoyable for anyone who wears them. It’s simple: stop you from squinting will release the tension pressure in your facial and jaw muscles which in turn will help you avoid the headaches that come from staring too long at objects in the brightness of the sun.

By wearing polarized sunglasses you can further enhance your volleyball viewing while protecting your eyes from the harmful effects of the sun from both UV light and reflected light. When purchasing a pair of volleyball sunglasses always be certain that they have a UV coating and are sufficiently dark. Wrap-around style glasses are also good at stopping unwanted reflected light from entering your field of view from the sides. The lenses need to be large enough to cover your entire eye. Then it all comes down to your personal style and preference. Be certain that the sunglasses fit snug and securely to your face without being to tight. You want the glasses to help but not be a distraction to your play. If the lenses are close to your eyes, almost like goggles, you can also get the added benefit of preventing sand from getting in your eyes when you dive for the ball.

Why Do We Box?

Why do I box? I struggled to figure this out for years. Mainly because I wanted to put it to myself in a way that would sound cool to everyone else. I wanted a bullshit marketing spin that I could buy into and sell to the entire world. I ran from the truth because I wanted to believe that boxing was for everyone, that everyone could benefit from this beast of an activity. It took me a long time to get real with myself, and the truth hit me one day when I read something out of the Autobiography of Malcolm X. My favorite book of all time, btw.

In that book, Malcolm X takes a visit to Mecca, during that visit he meets a man who spits some logic on him that blows his mind, it goes like this, "You have never really believed in something, until you want it for your brother as much as you want it for yourself. " Bamn! there it is … let it sink in.

Honestly, I do not want boxing for everyone, I do not want it for my mother, my friends, the kid who plays piano 3 hours a day, and I certainly do not want it for the MBA student who does everything his parents ever told him to. In fact, I do not care who boxes and who does not, and that's because there are defect issues at stake. Namely, fear and self-worth, this is what's at stake, this is what I care about and so should you.

What is boxing? It is a medium for expressing yourself, it's a tool and a set of techniques for relating to another human being, and that's some classic Bruce Lee philosophy. It's one medium among many to overcome fear, to gain confidence, to prove what you are capable of, and to establish your self-worth. Boxing is a sport, it's also a form of combat, and in it lies the basic components of conflict that anyone trying to excel at something faces: 1) mastery over yourself, 2) mastery over your environment, 3) mastery over others.

This is what the CEO is doing, it's what the b-boy is doing, it's what the gold-digger is doing, it's what the painter is doing, and it's what you are doing every time you step in the ring. In boxing there are no liars, the truth finds you quickly, it's a high risk and high reward program for discovering what kind of man you really are. High reward because once you have put in the work, put in the time, earned the skills and conditioned your body to the best it can be, you know that you can walk down the street everyday for a week and not pass anyone who can do what you do. Boxing is also high risk, you face your fear when you fight, and at the same time there is still a lot of fear, it's not fear of pain, but fear of losing what you've gained, fear of losing your confidence and your status. Fear of being the nobody you were before you boxed. That's why you better learn to love yourself somewhere along the way, because this boxing shit is not gonna last forever.

The boxer always has a tough dilemma, we are always one punch away from being knocked down, and I mean way down, if you do not believe me just go ask Ricky Hatton. The boxer who takes calculated risks accounts props because we all have our time when that punch turns our fate. Props to Ricky Hatton, no matter what anyone has to say. Mike Tyson took his fate turning punches from Douglas, Holyfield and Lewis. Roy Jones took his from Tarver. Roberto Duran took his from Hearns, and Hearns took his from Barkley and Hagler. As fighters, active or not, we deserve recognition from ourselves for the risks taken to face our fears, to prove our self-worth, and to gain mastery.

So why do I box? Because the pain and discontent inside me would not have had it any other way.

Sunglasses and Tips For Finding the Right Pair

Choosing the perfect pair of sunglasses is not as straightforward as it looks. Apart from the fact that there are literally hundreds of styles, colors and brands to make your choice from, you'll be looking for a pair that combines style with the ability to protect your eyes. Probably the best place to shop for sunglasses today is online, where the world is your oyster when it comes to the sheer number of sites you could purchase them from. Obviously the good old brick and mortar shops on the high street offer great ranges as well, but for pure choice, online is the way to go.

Virtually every brand of sunglasses is known to man can be purchased online. Online retailers offer well known brands such as Oakley, Ray Ban and Von Zipper, not so well known and even replica designs. Apart from selling sunglasses, some of these retailers also offer sunglass accessories such as protective cases, wiping cloths and cords, as well as related items such as ski goggles.

Without wanting to state the obvious, when purchasing sunglasses, a person has to make sure they buy a pair that suits them. Each individual has a different shaped face so sunglasses that may look good on one person, for example, may not look quite so good on someone else. Try and make sure you choose a pair that complements your facial shape, skin tone and hair color.

While on the topic of styles, think about frame colors as well. Frames come in a myriad of colors, from lights like yellow and orange to darks such as blacks and purples. Again, make sure you choose a frame color that is going to complement your complexion. The very fashion conscious will want to match sunglasses with different outfits they may own- if this is the case then you will need a few pairs of sunglasses in different frame colors. No mean task if we're talking designer sunglasses!

We must not forget that sunglasses were actually made to protect our eyes from harmful sun rays, not just as a fashion statement, so choosing a pair that offers ultra violet protection (100% protection is now the norm) is vitally important. UV rays have the ability to cause lasting or permanent damage to our eyes if we do not take precautionary measures while in the sun (or outside generally). A good pair of sunglasses that offers 100% UV protection may cost a little bit more but a little bit more is a small price to pay for the health and safety of our eyes!
