When we talk about the word History different eras and ages comes into our minds. We will found out here about the History of Jewelry in different eras.

First if we talk about the early history, the people of Africa generated the first sign of jewelry. In Kenya, beads made from perforated ostrich egg shells have been dated to more than 40,000 years ago. Around 7,000 years ago first sign of copper jewelry was seen.

The most common metal used in Egypt was gold for making jewellery, they prefer gold the most over other metals. The first sign of jewellery in Ancient Egypt was around 3,000-5,000 years ago. Also the Egyptians use colored glass in place of precious gems. According to Egyptians as each color means different thing, they use to color the glasses to develop jewelry items.

Now when we come to the Europe and Middle East. If we talk about Mesopotamia, by approximately 4,000 years ago, jewelry-making had become a significant craft in cities of Sumer and Akkad. Jewellery was made from thin metal leaf and was set with large number of brightly-colored stones in Mesopotamia. Then talking about the Greeks, they started using gold and gems in jewellery in 1600 BC. By 300 BC, the Greeks were mastered in making colored jewelry and using amethysts, pearl and emeralds. Greeks generally don’t wore jewellery it was mostly used for public appearances or on some special occasions. Although jewellery work was abundantly diverse in earlier times, when the Romans conquered the most of Europe, jewellery was changed as smaller factions developed the Roman designs.

Now when we come to the Jewish time Since Biblical times jewellery has been a part of the Jewish culture. There are references in the Bible to the wearing of the jewellery, both as a decoration and as symbol as well. Star of David is the most common symbol in Jewish jewellery.

The Indian subcontinent has the longest continuous legacy of jewellery making anywhere, with a history of over 5,000 years. The people of the Indus Valley Civilization were the first one to start jewelry making. Although the China started making the jewelry around the same period, but it became widespread with the spread of Buddhism around 2,000 years ago.

Ending with the Americans, Jewellery played a major role in the fate of the Americas when the Spanish established an empire to seize South American gold. There were mainly many American cultures which were expertise in jewellery making common among them was the Aztecs, the Mixtecs, the Mayans and the Mochica. In North America, the native Americans used shells, wood, turquoise, and soapstone, almost unavailable in South and Central America. These all materials were used in making different jewellery ornaments.

BDSM Protocol – How to Successfully Present Yourself to a Pro-Domme (Dominatrix) In Six Simple Steps

A Pro-Domme, also called a Dominatrix or Mistress, is a professional who engages in BDSM activity with clients. These clients take on the submissive role (or “bottom”) during a session. Typical activities engaged in may include: dominance and submission (D/s), sadomasochism (S&M), fetish play, bondage, and discipline. While BDSM activities are highly charged both emotionally and sexually, sex is not included in the services of a Pro-Domme.

Many clients present themselves to a prospective Mistress in an unfavorable way, which results in them not being given that precious opportunity to serve. Sometimes clients can find a Pro-Domme who will session with them, only to discover that the so called “Dominatrix” is inexperienced or lacking in skills. As the saying goes, “a good Domme is hard to find.” This difficulty in finding a Mistress often occurs due to the submissive’s naivete or because he possesses a “Dive Bar Attitude.” However, by following six simple steps when approaching a Pro-Domme, it is highly unlikely that a prospective client will not be given an opportunity to serve a professional.

What is a “Dive Bar Attitude?”

Many prospective clients present themselves to a Pro-Domme inappropriately because they possess what I’ve termed a “Dive Bar Attitude.” When a person goes to a dive bar, they do so with certain expectations. They expect to be served. They expect to have their thirst quenched. They expect to get drunk without paying a lot of money. They expect that, other than their payment, they will not be required to provide anything to the proprietor. This is the WRONG ATTITUDE when approaching a Pro-Domme.

Think of approaching a prospective Mistress as having more in common with an outing to a new, fashionable club. There’s preliminary legwork that must be done to prepare (such as making a reservation, or learning what the dress code entails). The establishment wants a certain type of clientele because the club’s clientele is a reflection of the club. And because many people want to experience the club, the proprietor can be picky about who gets in. Once inside the club, the visitor’s main expectation is to simply experience the club. The goal is not cheap drunkenness. Instead, it’s to experience the whole ambiance of the club, to relish the very experience of it, and to enjoy drinks that are expertly prepared. It’s a premium experience that is being sought, and it’s not bargain priced.

Knowing this, how should a client tailor their approach to a prospective Mistress?

As a wise person once said, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression.” Pro-Dommes are approached by numerous prospective clients. Many of these men fall victim to the Mistress’ delete button. Because so many who approach us are time wasters who regard us as masturbation fodder, we have no choice but to discard the e-mails of those who exhibit insensitivity or lack of social awareness. If you properly introduce yourself in that first communication (presumably an e-mail), you will stand out from the crowd and you will please the Domme.

So, keeping in mind the exclusive nature of sessioning with the best Pro-Dommes, and knowing that you must make your very best impression in order to earn the opportunity to serve a Mistress, what protocol should a prospective submissive follow?

Step 1: Do Your Research

You most likely found the Mistress through her website, so read it! Read every word; don’t just perv on her pics. Her website is a reflection of who she is. It will tell you her interests, her likes and dislikes, and (most importantly) how she likes things done. It is basically a virtual version of herself. It is her domain. I repeat, read every word.

Step 2: Exhibit Self-Awareness & Honesty

Someone who is self-aware makes a good client. Know what you want, and know what you are capable of delivering. There is a big difference between fantasy and reality. It may make a good fantasy to envision life as my 24-7 slave, a slave that will do everything I say without question. But please don’t waste my time with your fantasy unless you actually: 1) truly want that, and 2) can provide that. If you have a day job as an attorney or a CFO or an engineer, I don’t think you’re going to be giving that up anytime soon. Don’t waste my time with your masturbatory fantasy. Just keep it to yourself, please. What I would like to know is what you can truly offer me. If what you can offer is a client who would like to session with me every couple of weeks… perhaps because you enjoy bottoming watersports (feel free to insert your favorite fetish here) but don’t have a woman in your life who is into that, THEN SAY THAT! That type of …

Craft Project – How To Make Fashion Doll Furniture Out Of Plastic Canvas

Do you have a little one who loves to play with 11 1/2″ tall fashion dolls? Does you little one need some new furniture to go along with her dolls? If so, I have an easy to make craft project to share with you today that involves using a skein of acrylic yarn, needle and some 7 count plastic canvas. This project is great for beginners and works up in just one afternoon.

You can make just about any type of fashion doll furniture that you would like by using standard plastic canvas and some yarn. To design your own patterns, simple sketch out what you would like to make on graph paper and then cut out your graph paper and use it as a template.

Supplies Needed:

2 sheets 7 count plastic canvas (clear or a color to match yarn)

1 skein acrylic yarn

plastic canvas sewing needle

sharp scissors

To Make The Chair:

1 seat – 19 holes by 19 holes

2 seat backs – 19 holes by 22 holes high

4 leg pieces – 19 holes by 18 holes high

note – you can leave your leg pieces in a solid block shape or cut them to resemble a block style letter A, the choice is up to you.

Stitching: I did a simple tent stitch but I did it over 3 holes at a time going top to bottom to make vertical rows. I used 4-ply Acrylic yarn. You will first stitch your seat, seat backs and then the legs, leaving all outer edges unfinished. Once done, place the two seat backs wrong sides together and stitch them together using a whip stitch but leave the bottom edge unfinished. Stitch three of the chair leg sections to the seat. Place the seat back and fourth leg section together and whip stitch to the remaining unfinished edge of the seat. Finish up by stitching around the legs and openings so that your chair has no unfinished edges.

To Make The Side Table:

table top – 19 holes by 19 holes squared

8 legs – 3 holes wide by 18 holes tall

Stitching: I simply used a tent stitch and stitched the top of the table and then the eight legs. Once done I stitched all eight legs to my table by joining two leg pieces at each of the table’s corners. After they are attached using a simple whip stitch, just go around and whip stitch all of your unfinished edges. When stitching the pieces together, just envision your standard look side table with a flat top and four legs.

To Make The Accent Rug:

rug piece measures 22 holes by 22 holes squared

Stitching: You can use a tent stitch or a scotch stitch to add texture and interest to the accent rug. Once you decide on the stitch you want to use, work the center first and then finish up by whip stitching around your outer edges. You can leave the edges plain or add a 1/2″ fringe to them, that choice is up to you.

How to Safely Clean Antique Jewelry

Perhaps you have a nice piece of antique jewelry, but you will wear it because it looks … well, antique . Over time, dirt and grime can get deep into the tiny crevices on a piece of jewelry and make it look less than optimum – no matter how beautiful the piece is. You've probably wear that special jewelry item more often if you could spruce it up a little, but since it's an antique you might be hesitant to clean it. How do you know what kinds of materials are safe to use? Here is some advice about what you can do to clean a special piece of antique jewelry, so that you can enjoy wearing it instead of hiding it in your jewelry box.

When you're looking at different jewelry cleaning solutions, the first thing you should do is read the label carefully. Make sure it does not contain any alcohols or acids, such as ammonia or vinegar. These are strong chemicals that can harm the finish on antique jewelry, as well as any stones or mountings that are in the setting.

Common sense might lead you to think that good old soap and water might be a good choice for cleaning your jewelry, but actually that is not true. First of all, it would probably leave a soapy residue on your antique jewelry, and further dull the finish and the clarity of any stones or gems it contains. Even worse, water can dissolve any mounting materials that are used in the piece, such as glues. If that happens, you might lose the stones from the piece, which would indeed be a shame.

If the main problem with your piece of antique jewelry is simply dust, then you can just use a very soft toothbrush to clean deep into its crevices. Use the absolute softest toothbrush that you can find, and make sure that it's a brand new brush. Old toothbrushes might be fine for cleaning around the kitchen sink, but they definitely will not do for cleaning jewelry. There might be toothpaste residue in an old toothbrush that scratch and dull the finish on your jewelry piece.

Whatever method you choose to clean your antique jewelry, it's very important to make sure that it dries very thoroughly after you're done, and especially before storing it in your jewelry box. The slightest bit of dampness can contribute to rust, pitting on plated metals, verdigris, and other unpleasances.

So that's basically it – make sure that you use a safe cleaning solution, and treat your piece of antique jewelry very gently by using a very soft toothbrush. If you're still uncomfortable about doing it on your own, you always have the option of taking it to a professional jeweler, of course. Many jewelry stores will provide this service for free, too. Whatever you do, just make sure that you do not do anything to modify your antique jewelry. Any significant changes to the original setting can have a drastic effect on its value as a collectible.

Sparkle and Shine With Jewels On a Dime

There are plenty of things in the world which are strictly overrated. The non-existence of sensibility, women and jewelry in the same sentence is supposed to be one of them! However, what the moderators of such a concept fail to understand is how smart we have become, as soon as we invented or discovered fashion jewelry.

Moreover, here is a chance for most men to gift something actually affordable which we might like! What's so insensible about that now, eh? The best thing about fashion or costume jewelry is that how you actually stand to be unique, no matter what the approach.

The Versatility
My affair with fashion jewelry began when I was pretty young and loved to dance. On a completely different, not so unrelated note, somehow precious metals and expensive stones never interested me much.

Instead, I was always more into making things, coming up with new ideas and yes using wastes to recycle and wear them as jewelry. Something similar to such trends is probably is why fashion jewelry has gained so much popularity all over the world. You might weave a necklace out of screws and it will still pass off, as long as you can carry it off well.

The Best Places to Hunt
Even if you are lacking in the department of imagination and creativity, following simple basics will always work for you. For starters, find what you are comfortable with. If beads are what seem to suit you, go with it. Furthermore, stick to vintage designs in fashion jewelry if nothing else crosses your mind. Just make sure it matches some item of your clothing or accessories. However, if you can carry it off, wearing items of jewelry which is an absolute contrast to your clothes will totally nail it too!

For the ones who are dying to explore and make something of your own, here is a list of where you should look for.

• The Garage or Storeroom: This is probably the best place to start with, if you really want to create something with everything that has been kind of demolished. From pieces of colored metal, to glass, to ruined and unhealthy pieces of beads, to wood, gather around ladies!

• Nanny's Basket: You have no idea how much fun you will have looking for wonderful pieces of thingamajigs and combining them together to create something new. From pieces of wool, to vintage clasps, to broken pieces of Nanny's jewelry, everything works.

• Nature's Lap: This is perhaps the best time for you to show how exotic things can look with items of jewelry made from Nature. The simplest of ideas will of course involve fresh flowers. However, if you really want to hit a chord, try to do something with old leaves and most importantly barks and twigs of trees.

• Flea Markets and Garage Sales: No surprises there. You name it and you have most definitely got it. Neverheless, do not forget to check pavement and makeshift sales which are generally Sunday Church specials. You will not believe the kind of pieces and raw materials you might be able to get your hands on, especially vintage fashion jewelry dating back to the '50s Hollywood.

So as the festivals set in, here is your chance to look trendy by choosing to do something different. Have loads of fun ladies, Cheers!

Taking Care Of Your Clothes With Velvet Coat Hangers

Having Velvet Coat Hangers in your wardrobe is a perfect choice towards caring for your clothes. This allows you to be in a better position to manage the lower portion of your closet since it does not get messed up. Clothes need to be kept at an upright position especially if they are ironed before putting them in a wardrobe. Keeping away odd bumps and stretches on your clothes especially those made of Velvet can be a thrilling experience. This saves the time required to dress up and iron the clothes on a daily basis.

How to use the hangers

Begin by separating the different clothes that you have. It can be very manageable if you group similar clothes together. For instance, separate coats and shirts to save on the amount of hangers required. This helps you to hang several clothes on one hook. It is a method that works well with shirts and blouses especially if they are unbuttoned. Then, position all the hooks on the horizontal bar that runs on your wardrobe. A cloth line can also serve the same purpose but should be tight enough to prevent any sagging especially when used above the bed with lots of clothes.

The benefits

Velvet Coat Hangers come with soft pads that prevent the middle of your clothes to get wrinkles. The cushions also prevent the clothes from any dirt or rust that can originate from old hangers. Keeping clothes in this manner saves a lot of ironing time because the task is done once and clothes put in a wardrobe. Wet clothes also get a good chance to completely dry-up leaving no chances of mold build up.

Selecting the right clothes to wear becomes easy since they are directly visible in a suspended manner. Hanger lines are put at an eye-catching level and one does not need to bend to catch a dress. This method of clothes care is a perfect choice when it comes to managing the outfit to wear in a week or a month. To get the best experience, put matching pairs together so that you don’t disturb the entire cloth line when making a selection.

Special Tips

If you don’t intend to iron your clothes especially those made of cotton, don’t hard-wring them after washing. Also buy the most durable hanging stuff that you can ever get in the market. Plastic, metal and wooden types are the most common. What matters it the thickness of the material. Irrespective of your choice, you will get a smooth experience while using these Velvet Coat Hangers.

Dressing Kids Nicely on a Budget

The best clothes for your children are not always the most expensive ones. You can buy affordable clothes at thrift stores, yard sales and online auctions. Use these ideas to dress your kids nicely on a budget.

Bring the kids. Always try to shop with the kids along, so you can be sure whether the clothes fit them right and not waste money. Try on the clothing and see if it suits them well. Consider the following – your kid's clothes should match their height, body type, activity level, and personal taste. Also think about the occasion and the weather the clothes would be worn in.

Buy good quality clothes. You can tell the quality of the clothes just by looking at how the fabric is made. Is it tatty? Does it have bumps in some areas? How perfect is the cut? Ensuring that the clothing has a long life will reduce the later cost of replacing them as they wear out.

Buy in volume. To save money, try to buy clothing separates in bulk. Just be certain that the items will get worn. Think about buying a larger size so that kids who grow quickly may still be able to wear them.

Look for bargains. Discounted clothing prices can be found at various stores when they have sales. You can buy clothes cheaply in off-season sales. Buy these a size larger than what your child currently wears so they will have grown into it when the season does come. Often, consignment stores will have stocks of items people have sold because they no longer liked them. This means they will still be in good order, sometimes with the original tag still on … so look for something your children can wear. This of course also goes for yard sales, eBay and opportunity or thrift stores.

Purchase classic things. Trendy fashion clothing is dearer and quickly gets replaced with newer trends. Seek classic, timeless items that your kids can wear over and over and still look stylish. Just add fashionable accessories to the ensemble to freshen up their looks.

Learn to sew kids' clothes. There are many benefits to constructing your own clothes for your children. For one thing, you know they will fit really well. You can copy make copies of expensive designer trends using cheaper materials. In addition, you can sew clothes that the kids design through their own efforts. Finally, it can be far more inexpensive than purchasing store-made goods. The only con is that you must invest your own time, talent, and effort. In addition, considering showing your kids that they can stitch together clothing for themselves. This will take some creativity and patience! They may enjoy being useful and clever at the same time.

It's a practical decision to supply your children with clothes inexpensively. If you spend less money on clothes, you can spend more on toys, vacations, or other things that you want. Enjoy being thrifty!

Graphic Designer Jobs – A Great Career

Graphic designer jobs are done by artists who uses art and media to communicate messages for companies and other organizations. In addition, graphic designers need to know how to ask the right questions to get a sense of what the company does and who their target audience is. Graphic design jobs require a high level of artistic and creative ability, that can go unsaid. However, what most people looking for graphic design jobs may overlook is the need for them to be professional businesspeople. Graphic design jobs are no longer being filled by just artists. Increasingly, designers also need to be experts in the field of advertising, marketing and communications.

In addition, they will also need to be able to communicate technical information in their work. Graphic designers do not just do art projects. They also have to create layouts for annual reports, financial reports, market reports, business development reports and the like. They need to know how to understand the data, tables and charts that they are trying to graphically put on publications so they know how to effectively convert it into a graphic that communicates to people.

Often times, especially financial and other technical data needs to be simplified so that it shows up as a clear graphic. Other graphic designers work for small to large design firms that outsource their design services to other companies and organizations.

About 25% of graphic designers are self-employed and have a home based business. Those who are employed very often do side freelance projects that they get on their own. Graphic designers who are fully self-employed are business people who have to operate all parts of their business. They have to do their own sales and marketing, their own billing and collections and maintain client relationships. Self-employed graphic designer jobs can be more stressful because of the pressure to produce revenue for themselves and many tend to work longer hours than those who are employed by a larger design firm or by a company.

Those looking for graphic design jobs should have a portfolio of their work, either online or in print, to show when they are applying for these jobs. The application process for these jobs may even require you to audition by doing a small sample project. The great thing about those in graphic design jobs is that they can still do freelance design work on the side in their time off. Sometimes, design firms will require their graphic designers to process all their clients through the firm, but some do not.

Cross Over Careers

Some graphic designers cross over into doing marketing and advertising as a career managing a creative arts team or just get out of design all together. Some become management consultants who …

6 Safe-Guarding Tips for Traveling With Jewelry

Traveling somewhere warm for some fun in the sun this winter? Or maybe the snow-packed slopes are calling your name. Whatever your destination, the jewelry you bring along may be the most valuable items you pack, so take a little extra care in your travel planning.

1. First, decide what jewelry you actually will wear at your destination. That special four-carat ring you wear for special events? Probably not. The fun cultured pearl strand that goes with just about every outfit… definitely.

2. Make a list of the jewelry you are taking. Bring one copy with you, storing it separately from your jewelry bag, and leave one copy at home. Some insurance companies even suggest taking pictures of your jewelry or recording your special items on your video camera.

3. If you’re flying, pack jewelry in your carry-on bag, never in checked baggage where it will be a shiny temptation for security screeners. Or, wear the jewelry on your travel day, as long as it’s not bulky metals that could set off security screening equipment. For extra security, slip a pendant inside a shirt or sweater that you’re wearing or spin a ring around so only the plain band shows.

4. If you are traveling by train or auto, put jewelry in a bag that you personally carry into restaurants and to your resort room or condo. And keep it with you at all times. Don’t leave the jewelry in an unattended car or suitcase. Also, don’t let the hotel staff handle the bag… and potentially help themselves to your bling.

5. At your condo or resort, store jewelry in the in-room safe when you’re not wearing it.

6. Make sure your jewelry is properly insured and that your insurance policy provides coverage wherever your travels take you.

A lost diamond or gemstone can really put a damper on your much anticipated vacation getaway. Have the peace of mind that as you head to your winter escape, your precious items are safe and sound. Happy travels!

A ring is a type of jewelry that is worn by both men and women on the finger. They can be made of different types of materials, such as metal, plastic, wood, gold, silver, glass and gemstones. Rings are sometimes decorated with either precious diamonds or other less expensive precious stones such as ruby, sapphire and emerald. But in general, a ring can be made of anything.

Rings exist in various forms, shapes, sizes and styles today. Flat wedding bands are, by far, the simplest form of rings that can be made. They basically consist of a small strip of metal that is bent into a loop with the ends joined together. The half-round rings or D-shaped rings are flat wedding rings that are polished on the outside to create a half-round form. Solitaire rings are rings that have large stones at the center.

A sleeve ring consists of a thin inner ring, with other rings placed on top of it to form one solid ring. The unique trilogy or trinity rings are made by wearing three rings at one time. Another type of ring is called the Eternity ring which is decorated with stones, usually diamonds of the same cut and size and set in one row all over the ring. But when the stones do not cover the ring and stop halfway around the finger, it is called a half-entry ring.

A bracelet is a type of jewelry which is worn around a person's wrist. Some bracelets are made of leather, cloth, hemp, plastic or metal. Bracelets are not just for fashion purposes though. Do you know that they are used for medical and identification purposes? Examples are allergy bracelets and hospital patient-identification tags. The term "bracelet" actually comes from the Latin word "brachile" which means "of the arm" from the Old French "barcel". There are several types of bracelets available today, including sports, charm, slap, beaded, link, and karma bracelets and, of course, bangles.

The Mistake: Not Taking Advantage of Fashion To Engage Consumers

Fashion and design partnerships are one of the strongest opportunities being leveraged by brands to market products to those cutting edge trendsetters and influencers that closely follow – and lead – today's fashion trends.

Fashion partnerships result in an enhanced image and an overall sense of innovation and hipness to the brand. These partnerships are typically different enough to break through the clutter, gain consumer interest, attract press, and generate consumer buzz. In fact, fashion, like music, is globally one of the most popular categories in terms of online consumer interest as it too transcends culture and breaks down barriers.

No longer are fashion events and content limited to fashion brands – today you see brands of all types leveraging fashion, ranging from title-owning Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Subway's runway dress made out of wrappers, Moët & Chandon on the Golden Globes Red Carpet to Intel and HP's multi-year long partnership with fashion-themed television series Project Runway.

A fashion initiative has the ability to elevate the brand and provide the perception of appearing out-of-the box and cutting edge to consumers. It is important to remember that there needs to be a rhyme or reason behind the partnership. By looking at the core fundamentals of the brand's objectives and messaging, a mutually beneficial campaign will result in success for both the brand and the partner when identifying the common ground in messaging.

For savvy brands and marketers of all types, opportunities are available at a wide range of fee levels (read: very affordable to quite hefty) to create noteworthy partnerships that will get notified by both media and consumers, while also providing content to significantly drive social media conversations. Women and Shopping Tips

Shopping is something that most women love to do. Window-shopping is a great past time. The woman takes her time to go from store to store to research and compare store prices. Most women don’t need expert shopping tips because shopping is so natural to them. However, there are some that do.

I think shopping is a talent. Women have even made personal shopping a career where they do other people’s shopping for them and get paid. Doing something that you already love to do and getting paid to do it is truly a dream come true for a personal shopper.

The mall is a popular place where women go to shop for clothes, shoes, jewelry, gifts, phones, and household items like bed linen, bathroom rugs, pots, pans, and lamps. Women are passionate about this past time and take pleasure in spending hours and load of cash on buying items that peak their interest or that can fit.

People shop at certain times of the year for gift items. Christmas, Birthdays, Valentines, Easter, Mother’s day and Father’s day are some special occasion that calls for shopping for loved ones, friends and coworkers. For birthdays, women shop for their husbands, children or boyfriend. Birthday gifts range from books, clothing, games to spa treatment or dining out. Children’s birthday gifts are easier for women to buy because they usually know that toys, games, books, and clothing are what most children love anyway. Valentines shopping comes with flowers and chocolate as well as a night out on the town.

Christmas is where most women spend their money on family and friends. This is where commercial shopping meets credit card payments. Women go all out to buy items for Christmas gifts and do not consider the aftermath of the bills that follow. The day after Thanksgiving is also a big shopping day for most American women. They get up early in the morning to join a long line of shoppers to purchase discounted items especially jewelry. This sale prepares them to fill up the Christmas gift wrappers and avoid spending more money than necessary. It is sometimes amazing to watch women stampeding and pushing each other the moment the store doors are opened.

Easter is mostly bunnies, eggs, gift baskets and cards. This is the time of year when women get sentimental and get involved with Easter because of their children and because they love the season. Children love to paint eggs and have egg-hunting contest. Women will purchase the eggs and make the pretty gift baskets and bunnies to make their children look good at the school event.

Mother’s day and Father’s day are more personalized. Depending on what the woman’s mother or father loves, that is what she will shop for. A mother may love diamonds, household goods, a mother’s day card, gift certificate, flowers, and a variety of other selections. Fathers may like things like jewelry, apparel, gift certificates and much more. Each woman will know what her parents love and may even shop for something different on occasion.

Fashion Trends For the Summer of 2010

It's always great to know what the fashion trends are going to be for the coming season. That does not mean you have to follow them exactly, and buy everything that's on trend. However, it can be a great way to guide you with your accessory purchases.

Every now and again, we see an emergence of a garment that was popular years ago. That enable us to buy something very new for a wardrobe, and we can use our classic garments, along with these new pieces. For instance, on the cat walks this year, we are seeing that dungarees are once again on trend. Dungarees can be worn in many ways, however, this year they are not very very fitting buy more on the baggy side yes. Denim really is a classic, and although some of the dungarees are made of denim others are in pastel colors and more earthy tones.

Another trend emerging on the cat walks this year, and is underwear as outerwear. It will be interesting to see just how many people will wear this trend, as it really is slightly out there. This lingerie look, can be worn in varying degrees by having just a hint of underwear showing under a jacket or with many sheer layers over the top.

According to Vogue, Army jackets will be all the rage this season, but you must show feminine touches like sequins and chiffon along with them. Most of the Army jackets are in khaki colors, but in lighter weight fabrics. They look great over tiered, very feminine skirts. Or you can have your army jacket with no sleeves, where you can choose to wear a long coat to the ground, with your army style.

Designer Fashion Accessories

Designer fashion accessories put the final touch on almost any look. They are the missing link between a really good look and a look that will blow people away. Accessories come in many shapes and sizes. The designer accessories you choose to wear are very much dependent on:

1. The clothing you are wearing: If you are wearing something similar like your favorite pair of jeans, it is probably not best to wear your best designer jewelery.

2. Where you are going: You are not going to wear designer jewelery if you are going to the beach. Just like you probably will not be wearing a baseball hat to a fancy dinner.

3. What you will be doing: Wear accessories that are suitable for what you are doing. For example, an iPod and a hat are great options for the gym; however, it is probably best if you leave your jewelery at home.

4. The season: You want to wear accessories that are appropriate for the season. For example, you do not want to wear a wool hat in the middle of summer, just like you probably should not wear heels if you are going hiking.

You want your accessories to be the right match for what you are wearing and where you are going. You also do not want to wear too many accessories. We have all seen those people out that look ridiculous with every accessory possible on. Too many designer fashion accessories not only look bad, as you tend to look cluttered, but they also prevent you from acting natural. With all those accessories on, you have to be conscious about the way you move. You do not want your bracelet to fall into the dip at a party do you?

If you are one of those people who tend to drape themselves in accessories, stop and think about how many you are actually wearing. A few select designer fashion accessories are perfectly okay. But if you have more than a few, you need to take a few accessories off.

Many live by the rule that states, "put on all the accessories you intend to wear, and then take two off." You want to wear two or three great pieces that match your attire, not ten decent pieces that clutter your look.

If you are in the market for a few new designer fashion accessories, you should seriously consider shopping at an online discount designer boutique. These stores have it all: sun glasses, belts, hats, gloves, scarves, wallets, and jewelery from the top fashion designers in the industry. And, the best part is that these online boutiques sell all these great designer fashions at discount prices. So, you will definitely be able to get the accessories you need to give your outfit a polished look that will be envied by others.
