1. Food Habits
As our body parts need proper nutrition, in the same way our eyes need proper nutrition to work as well. I have compiled a list of foods that you should include in your diet to improve your vision.
a) To protect the lens of your eye, you should consume capers, onions and garlic.
b) Antioxidants are really helpful when we talk about improving our vision and grapes are rich with antioxidants. So, do consume grapes and it will certainly lead to positive benefits.
c) Macula is an important part of your eye so we have to protect it. Eggs, carrots & pumpkin are rich with zaexanthin and help you to protect macula.
All the above foods will certainly help in improving your vision.
2. Eye Exercises
Eye exercises are a great way to relax the eyes and increasing the vision of your eyes. Eye exercises boost the blood supply in the head part that makes eyes work better. And at the end it makes your vision improve. Exercises that I personally prefer are:
a) Making your eyes a little cozy make them feel better. Yes, it is true. Try yourself and see. Rub both of your hands to make them warm, and then place your hands on your eyes. Cover the eyes completely with your hands. In a couple of minutes your eyes will feel relaxed.
b) Taking small naps are highly effective way to relax your eyes. Do take breaks after every 25 minutes of work. Yes, after every 25 minutes, you should relax your eyes for around 2 minutes. In this time, eyes repair themselves and you can work better.
3. Remove the pressure on your eyes
It is really important to keep your eyes relaxed. Avoid long working hours and eye pressure jobs. Do not use computers / laptops for long time.
You should definitely take care about these things:
a) Take complete sleep ie 8 hours of sleep each day. It helps your eyes to repair themselves for the next day by removing all the pressure on them.
b) Avoid long working hours. Instead try to take short breaks at frequent intervals that makes your eyes feel relaxed.
4. Protect from external factors
Eyes are really sensitive part of the body. We need to protect them from every possible danger out there. They need a complete protection. Whenever you go in the open make sure:
a) You wear sunglasses to safeguard your eyes from dust & UV rays.
b) In the summer season wash your eyes daily at least 4 – 5 times with fresh water so that any dust inside the eye can be removed.
