The first place is a bookstore. I know what you are thinking. "If I wanted to read I would have chosen reading as my hobby." I know a lot of people are not big fans of reading but there are a lot of great books with wonderful illustrations to help you learn all you need to know about making homemade jewelry. Plus you have a reference that you can refer back to whenever a question arises.

Next is your local craft store. Not only do they have very knowledgeable staff, but many of them also offer classes in crafting your own jewelry. They are usually very specific so you can pick and choose which ones you need and avoid the ones you do not. Because while you do want to learn you do not want to waste time that could be spent enjoying your hobby taking classes that you do not need. These classes are also wonderful because you can connect with other people that enjoy the same things that you do and draw from the information they have gained over the years.

The internet has great articles, videos, and discussion forums that ca give you more information than you ever could need.

You have chosen a wonderful hobby but there is some necessary knowledge in order for it to be useful. Depending on how you learn any of these options could be best for you. So choose the one that works for you and start learning.
